This is for adventurers, not for tourists.

Altos del Maria is a mountain gated community nested in more than 10 thousand acres, within 1.5 hours driving distance from Panama City. It enjoys a cooler temperature than the city that often gets down to 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
Our property is very well suited to use it as a base to visit other places such as:
a) Altos del Maria in itself, with its multiple trails, creeks, lakes and its waterfalls.
b) El Picacho (Google “Cerro El Picacho Panama” for more information). Take a hike and enjoy the sights from an altitude of 3,300 feet.
b) El Valle (search “El Valle de Anton” for more information). It is a 25-minute drive from the B&B using a private paved trail.
c) Los Cajones de Chame, which is a small canyon carved out by the Chame river where you can enjoy a refreshing dip into its crystal waters. (search “Los Cajones de Chame” for more information). It is a 15-minute drive from the B&B.
d) Beaches. It ranges from a 30-minute up to 1-hour drive from the B&B, depending on the selected beach.

We enjoy the pleasures of life and we can share with you our selection of:
a) Fine wines
b) Good scotch whiskeys
c) Panamanian gourmet coffee
for a little extra.

You might as well find worthy to ask for our guided tours and use our driver and SUV that can be at your disposal for a little extra.

We have a butler on site that will answer your questions and make your stay a comfortable one.

You are welcome to use our kitchen (brick and mortar structure) for your own cooking at no extra charge. Bear in mind that this kitchen is a common area for other guests as well.

Otros aspectos a destacar
Disclaimer: due to the nature of the location, it is very likely that you might co-exist with mosquitoes and all sorts of bugs. You might even see some scorpions should you flip over a big stone and you might as well seldom see a snake crossing. You should be aware that these might pose a risk to your health. On the bright side, you might as well see some toucans, hummingbirds, deers, armadillos, squirrels, sloths and lots of butterflies and birds.
Due to the nature of the place, this property has lots of uneven surfaces that might pose a risk of slipping or tripping over stones and suffer ankle sprains or other injuries.
